An Arabic and Qur’an school in Abuja

Elite Iqraa Academy teaches the Qur’an, Tajwīd, Arabic and Islamic studies to children, teenagers and adults in Abuja, Nigeria.

Teaching since 2018: at the academy, online, at home for children or through WhatsApp voice notes.

Illustration in layered paper: two faceless figures, a man in a long tunic and a woman in a white hijab, each holding a book, in front of woven stripes that flow into a sweep of ink.

Arab expertise, Nigerian experience

Our teachers are qualified from prestigious Arab universities and Islamic educational centres, and bring teaching experience in Nigeria.

They are native-speaking men and women with real training behind them, and female teachers are available on request.

Illustration in layered paper: three faceless figures of different ages, a man, a boy and a young girl in a hijab, each carrying a navy book along a winding paper path.

Every age, every level

Children, teenagers and adults all learn here. One student starts from the letters; another reads a page they have never seen and asks what it means.

Classes are small, so the teacher genuinely knows each student, and we tell you their real pace.

Learn the way your week works

Study at the academy in Abuja, in live lessons online, at home for children, or through the WhatsApp voice program, where a teacher replies to your recording in their own voice.

All are private or group; most run two, three or four days a week, weekdays or weekends.

What we teach

Six programmes, each with a defined path: the Qur’an Program, Tajwīd, Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, and Arabic Calligraphy in Naskh and Thuluth.

And the Comprehensive Program, with Qur’an, Arabic and Islamic studies on one timetable. Every programme runs at every level.

Why families stay

A structured curriculum, so you always know what comes next. Progress tracked and shared with you, rather than assumed. A safe Islamic setting, where adab is taught as deliberately as tajwīd.

You should never have to ask how your child is doing.

Your next steps with us

Why the name Iqraa?

اقرأ

Iqraa, “Read”

اقرأ باسم ربك الذي خلق

Read, in the name of your Lord who created.

Surah Al-‘Alaq

The first revelation began with a command, and the command was to read. One word, before anything else was asked of anyone.

The academy carries that word as its name. Reading is where every student here starts: the letters, then the words, then what they mean, at whatever age they come to it.

Ahlam Musa

Director, founded 2018

I am Ahlam Musa, Moroccan by origin, Nigerian in spirit — I have lived, learned, and built my life here for over twenty years. In 2018, I founded Elite Iqraa Academy not just as a language center, but as an oasis of education and a message: I believe that whoever knows their language knows themselves. We have dedicated our hearts to teaching Arabic and the Holy Qur’an. I believe a dream needs only a faithful heart, steady steps, and a spirit that never gives up.

Why families stay

Many things a family can count on at Elite Iqraa Academy, one note at a time.

Qualified Arabic and Qur’an teachers, men and women

Experienced, specialised teachers in Arabic language, Qur’an memorisation, Tajwīd and Islamic studies, with female teachers available on request, so you know exactly who is in the room with the student.

A structured curriculum for every level

Carefully designed learning programmes suited to the student’s age and level, so you always know what comes next rather than drifting lesson to lesson.

Flexible learning options

Choose classes at the academy in Abuja, live online lessons, the WhatsApp voice programme, or home tutoring for children, group or private, to fit your family’s week.

Continuous progress monitoring

Ongoing guidance, assessment and follow-up throughout the learning journey, with progress tracked and shared rather than assumed.

A supportive learning environment

A welcoming, organised setting focused on meaningful progress, where a child is comfortable from the first lesson.

Ways to study

Five ways to learn with us: at the academy in Abuja, online on Zoom, at home for children, through the WhatsApp voice programme, and privately or in a group. Every programme is offered in all of them.

  1. At the academy

Physical classes on-site in Abuja, with a teacher in the room. Private one-to-one, or children's packages on set days and times.

  2. Online

Live lessons on Zoom from anywhere, for students inside Nigeria and outside it, at times that fit around your week. Private or group.

  3. Home service

For children: a teacher comes to your home, on request and subject to your area. Private, or a group of up to 6 children.

  4. WhatsApp voice program

Send a voice recording; a teacher listens, corrects it, and replies in their own voice. Real ongoing follow-up from a teacher who knows you, never pre-recorded lessons. Private or group.

  5. Private or group

One student, one teacher, moving at exactly your pace. A small group at a similar level, which many students find keeps them going.

Register Now

Tell us about the student and your family, one short chapter at a time. A teacher reads it and suggests a starting point, and nothing is decided before you have agreed it.
